Program Overview:

El Comeback Fellows is a summer program designed for undergraduate students to build workplace skills, explore career paths, and gain early professional experience in Puerto Rico.

At the center of the program are weekly in-person professional development sessions (“Labs”) focused on communication, problem-solving, and practical tools for today’s workplace.

The program is designed to complement a variety of student experiences—whether you are currently in an internship or preparing for future opportunities.

Core Experience: Labs

Labs are weekly, in-person Friday sessions and are the core component of the program.

Through Labs, you will:

• Build workplace and communication skills
• Strengthen career readiness and confidence
• Learn practical tools (including AI) for research, analysis, and productivity
• Work through real-world scenarios and challenges
• Better navigate professional environments and early career experiences

All selected students participate in the same Labs experience.

What You’ll Build Through Labs

Labs are designed around five key areas:

• Career Navigation & Ownership – Explore career paths and take ownership of your goals
• Business & Organizational Acumen – Understand how organizations and teams operate
• Technology & Future Readiness – Build confidence using tools (including AI)
• Professional Influence – Strengthen communication and collaboration skills
• Personal Effectiveness & Well-Being – Develop habits to perform at your best

Who This Program Is For:

This program is designed for undergraduate students (primarily 2nd and 3rd year) who are motivated to learn, grow, and take initiative.

You may be:

• Interested in internship opportunities
• Focused on building skills for future career paths

All students participate in the same Labs experience.

Internship Opportunities: (Optional)

• Some students may be considered for internships with partner organizations
• Internships are managed directly by employers
• Internship placement is not guaranteed and depends on employer availability and selection processes

Participation in Labs is the core commitment.

Program Structure:

• Fridays (required): In-person Labs
• Time: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• Location: Universidad del Sagrado Corazón
• Duration: June – July (exact dates to be confirmed)

Students selected for internships may also participate in work experiences during the week, depending on the employer.

Application Process:

• Applications are reviewed by the El Comeback team
• Selected candidates are invited to interview
• Some candidates may be referred to partner organizations for internship opportunities

Program Commitment:

Participation in Labs is required for all selected students. Students are expected to:

• Attend all Friday sessions in person
• Actively engage in activities and discussions
• Commit to the full duration of the program
